Themed Thursday-- CATS!
Anyone who knows me or my husband knows that we love animals. This Themed Thursday features our three cats; Freckles, Tiny, and Scout. They make excellent models :). Enjoy!!

Wednesday WOW!
Nature photography is so exciting to me. Have you checked out the framed art I have for sale yet? Today's Wednesday WOW is a reminder that you never know what you might find when you take a closer look. I paused on while hiking at the Cibolo Nature Center to take a photo of this flower, and was surprised to see a bug crawling around inside! So fun :)

What's up Wednesday?!
I've been doing a little blog updating today, so you may notice a few fresh layout changes! I wanted to take today's post to give a little shout out to Tiffany Myers at Tiffany Myers Design. Tiffany is an outstanding artist, and the only one I trust for design work! She created my new logo that I've been using on the blog lately(don't you love it?!), and she also designed my business cards. Not only is she super easy to work with, she also has a very quick turn around time. Go to her website and check out her amazing art work, her past design projects, and more. Tiffany has a degree in Graphic Design and her business can help you with all your website, logo, and branding needs.
This is not a sponsored post, I just give credit where credit is due!

When the road ahead seems too long, look back to see how far you’ve come. For, even if the hill before you is steep, the view gives you hope to finish the journey.

Spotlight: My husband :)
He's not a client per se, but my husband really deserves some credit. Adam has been by my side since this whole photography journey started. He's been supportive, encouraging, and he doesn't complain when I make him "model". He knows photography makes me happy and so he's patient when I interrupt a hike to photograph a cool pop of color in the woods, and he waits for me when I run off chasing a unique butterflies. I'm so thankful for him, and his support as I follow my dream! Anyway, it's his birthday this Saturday, and he's been out of town for work for the past week-- so I really miss him and wanted to write a little something to help him know how much I appreciate him!
Enjoy the photos below:
P.S. [Sorry ladies, I know he's good looking, but he's taken!! ;) ]

Client Spotlight-- Cuellar Family Portraits
Sandra was super happy with the couple portraits she had taken, and so she came back with her younger sisters, Monica and Miranda to take some sibling portraits. Their parents didn't have any updated family photos of just the girls, so Sandra thought this would make a great present for them. I almost always shoot on-location, but for this shoot, we decided a special studio-like set up would be best. I love the way their color coordinated their outfits pop up against the black background, and Sandra even custom made their matching pink hair bows!
Sandra and Monica are great friends of mine, and it means a lot that the Cuellar family comes back to me each time they need portraits. I was thrilled to do Monica's bridal portraits a couple of weeks ago (which can't be posted yet!!) and I can't wait to photograph her wedding in September. Both of those shoots will be posted in September, so keep a look out!

Themed Thursday-- Wildflowers
Texas has some of the best wildflowers I've ever seen. [Of course... I may be a little biased ;) ] Living in the Hill Country has so many perks, one of them being getting to witness the fields come alive with color every Spring. The weather is usually perfect, and husband and I try to spend every free moment going on hikes and exploring the breathtaking nature around us! Then summer comes.... and well, I choose to stay inside blogging!

What's up Wednesday
I took a little break from blogging last week so that I could prepare for my art show. RAW Artists hosts monthly art shows nationwide in hopes to get the word out about new and upcoming artists of all genres. This month's San Antonio Show, Mixology was held at Back Stage Live, and hosted over 20 different artists. I framed several of my nature and wildlife prints and offered discounts on portrait sessions. It was very exciting to meet and network with several other local artists. I'm going to be posting up some of the framed pictures I have left under the products section-- so be on the lookout for that!
Big Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, gave support, and especially to those who bought local art!
